Die Liste mit den Nominierungen in den 26 Kategorien findet ihr unten, die Ergebnisse gibt es am 11.12.2010, am diesem Tag werden auch die Awards verliehen. Neben der Award-Verleihung gibt es bei den VGAs aber auch immer wieder weltexklusive Spieleenthüllungen. In den vergangenen Jahren wurden Uncharted 2: Among Thieves oder Medal of Honor angekündigt. Gerüchten zufolge soll dieses Jahr unter den Ankündigungen auch Mass Effect 3 bzw. ein noch unbekanntes Spiel von BioWare sein. Zudem führt Mass Effect 2 die Nominierungen mit einer Anzahl von 10 an, gefolgt von Red Dead Redemption mit 9 Nominierungen und Call of Duty: Black Ops mit 7 Nominierungen.
