Assassins Creed 4: Black Flag gets season pass, has no naval multiplayer battles

Ubisoft announced the season pass for the game. There will be no naval multiplayer.

Creative director Ashraf Ismail said the developer team tried to create naval multiplayer battles. “Naval multiplayer, unfortunately, we don’t have it. It’s something we tried at the beginning, but we didn’t feel we can get it to a good enough level for this iteration.” So there won't be any multiplayer ship battles with other players.

Here's the description of the season pass which includes all DLC and a new character:

It is 1715. Pirates rule the Caribbean, terrorizing navies and humiliating empires. From sinking warships to conquering fortresses, Captain Edward Kenway stopped at nothing to earn his fortune and legend. Yet, the adventures of his first mate, Adewale, have never been revealed.
