Call of Duty: Ghosts said to be revealed on May 1st, next-gen only?
Some information for the next Call of Duty game from Infinity Ward has leaked.
According to information in a video, the next game will be called Call of Duty: Ghosts and not Modern Warfare 4. The shooter will be developed by Infinity Ward, who created the Modern Warfare series. The campaign will be set in the future, like in Black Ops 2 from Treyarch, while using current weapons. There is going to be an event in the future which causes in using those weapons - so no futuristic guns here.
The multiplayer load screens will be dynamic - like a mini-game - where the player repels from a helicopter into the map or breaks a glass window to enter a building. No spec ops mode, but there will be a new mode for cooperative playing.
Player movement has been changed, so players can “dash into sliding while shooting”. Prone and crouch is also changed as well as peaking around corners is back for the console versions.
A more destructive environment will be implemented in the single-player mode, while it is not sure wether it will be intregrated into the multiplayer mode or not.The environment will have more interactions which can also kill the player.
Call of Duty: Ghosts will only launch on PC and next-generation consoles. There is no confirmation from Activision or Infinity Ward yet, so take this as a rumor like every details mentioned above.
The announcement of the game will happen on May 1 if we're lucky.
