BioWare announced that only 42 percent of players finished Mass Effect 3.
Bioware online development director Fernando Melo revealed this at GDC Europe. In the previous game, Mass Effect 2, about 56 percent of players saw the ending sequence. Melo explained that the completion rate for Mass Effect 2 increased before the release of ME3 because they wanted to beat the game to import save files into the last entry.
The developer also announced that Mass Effect 1 was completed by 40 percent of the players.
