Update: Remedy Entertainment bestätigte jetzt die Gerüchte zu einer PC-Version des Spiels. Demnach wird Alan Wake im 1. Quartal 2012 ungefähr im gleichen Zeitraum wie das neue Spiel Alan Wake's American Nightmare erscheinen.
Ursprüngliche Meldung: Alan Wake wird jetzt warscheinlich auch für den PC erscheinen. Dieses Gerücht entstand durch Registrierungen von Sprachversionen des Spiels bei Steam und durch Teases von Entwickler Remedy Entertainment. Das Spiel erschien im Mai 2010 exklusiv für die Xbox 360.
Aki Järvilehto von Remedy Entertainment sagte kürzlich in einem Interview: “We have received feedback from a lot of PC gamers, and I have to admit that yes, we somehow ignored that. Let’s see if in the near future we could have some positive news to tell you about dating.”
“Hypothetically, what we care about is the Remedy brand on any game needs to stand for something… polished quality, cinematic action and great storytelling,” Remedy boss Matias Myllyrinne told VG247 in a post-launch interview on Wake 1 last year.
