Ubisoft is ready for a next Assassins Creed and Far Cry game in the future
Ubisoft will release a new Assassins Creed and a new Far Cry 3 game in the future.
The sixth game in the Assassin’s Creed franchise will feature a new setting and character and it is slated for release before March 2014.
“We are delighted and proud to announce today that in FY14 14, we will introduce an all-new Assassin’s Creed hero, within an all new team and time period,” said Yves Guillemot, CEO from Ubisoft. “We expect it to be another major leap forward for the franchise. It is the benefit of multiple teams working on multiple chapters of the product, each getting several years to make their versions of an Assassin’s Creed game.” Assassins Creed 3 sold 12 million units.
Guillemot also announced that “fans certainly won’t have to wait four more years for the next Far Cry” because Far Cry 3 sold “way better than expected”. It sold 4.5 million copies since its release last year.
