According to a rumour, the third entry in the series may be developed for the next console generation.
Mafia 3 is in development for Xbox 720 and PS4, says a 2K Games source. Eurogamer.cz reports that the game was set to release for the current consoles put it was then pushed back to hit the new consoles. The game might release in 2013.
There is no confirmation from publisher 2K Games yet.
