A job listing confirmed that Sledgehammer Games is working on the next Call of Duty game.
The studio is looking for a Senior FX artist to help “create the most exceptional real-time effects with hyper realism for [its] next Call of Duty game”. Developers should have “solid professional experience and knowledge of the limitations and performance of current generation hardware (360, PS3)”. This could mean that the game will be released on PS3 and Xbox 360, the current console generation.
Sledgehammer Games could be working on an independent title or it could help out another Call of Duty developer. Sledgehammer Games helped Infinity Ward with Modern Warfare 3 which released last year.
