Remedy Entertainment gab nun bekannt, dass die PC-Version des Spiels nächsten Monat erscheinen wird.

Update: Microsoft enthüllte jetzt den Releasetermin von Alan Wake's American Nightmare. Das Spiel erscheint am 22.02.2012 bei XBL für 1200 Microsoft Points.
Die PC-Version von Alan Wake wird nicht nur digital, sondern auch im Laden erhältlich sein. Diese Fassung wird von Nordic Games gepublished und erscheint am 2.03.2012. Digital erscheint sie aber am 16.02.2012.
“It goes without saying that we are very happy and proud to work together with some of the greatest talents and artists of the games industry," sagt Lars Wingefors, CEO of Nordic Games GmbH. “We are really looking forward to the PC version of Alan Wake, especially as we are talking about a fantastic PC adaptation thereof, rather than a mere porting of the code. We will talk about this in more detail in the upcoming weeks.”
“We’ve done our best to do justice to the PC version and do things the way they should be done for PC,” sagte Studio CTO Markus Maki. “The PC version looks absolutely beautiful. We’re bringing the game to life in a whole new way.”
Ursprüngliche Meldung: Die PC-Version von Alan Wake wird im Februar 2012 erscheinen und auch digital bei Steam verfügbar sein. Die beiden DLCs The Signal und The Writer DLCs werden bei Steam erhältlich sein, sowie in allen Packungen des Spiels im Laden. Zum Spielen braucht man demnach Steam.
Remedy Entertainment gab bekannt, dass die Grafik des Spiels verbessert wurde, außerdem können Spieler das HUD im Spiel abstellen. Die PC-Version unterstützt auch NVISION 3D, dazu braucht man aber einen High-End-PC. Die PC-Version wird per Multi-Screen auch auf mehreren Bildschirmen laufen. Bisher gibt es aber noch keinen genauen Releasetermin des Spiels, dessen Xbox 360-Version bereits im Mai 2010 erschienen ist.
