Mass Effect 3: Enthüllung der Squad-Mitglieder würde den Spielern die Story "vermiesen"

Bioware wird demnach nicht bekannt gegeben, wer die Squad-Mitglieder im kommenden Spiel sind.

“People wanna know, ‘show me my permanent roster of squad members, show me my roster of love interests,’” sagte Producer Casey Hudson. “But of course, that is so much a part of telling the story. That’s why we don’t wanna say, ‘yep, here’s all the characters that are permanent squad members,’ because first of all, it doesn’t make sense in a war story. It’s not true to the game.”

“Some characters you might get, some character might die, and the discovery of how that’s all gonna work is so much a part of the story that we don’t wanna spoil it. A lot of people love different characters and wanna see them come back. We make the story of Mass Effect 3 out of these different story lines that come together,” erklärt er.

“All these different characters will be back in the story. But they’ll be there, doing their own thing, appropriate to what that character’s doing and appropriate to what the story of Mass Effect 3 will be.”

“It’s a war story. It’s a little different from the story structure in Mass Effect 2, which was kind of a collection story – you’re building a dirty dozen. Maybe it’s a little more similar to the structure of Mass Effect 1, where it really is a little bit of a discovery story, a little bit of a chase story, a little bit of exploration,” so Hudson. “In Mass Effect 3 though, it’s all in the context of a larger galactic war.”
