Publisher Microsoft gab jetzt bekannt, dass man dem Entwickler Remedy Entertainment noch kein neues Licht für ein neues Spiel gegeben hätte.
Der Microsoft Studios Head Phil Spencer sagte jetzt, dass das neue Alan Wake-Project noch nicht von Microsoft selbst bestätigt wurde. “I don’t know that they’ve signed it with anybody,” so Spencer über Remedy Entertainment.
Remedy hatte letzten Monat angekündigt, dass ein neues Spiel in Entwicklung sei. Demnach sei es aber nicht Alan Wake 2 und auch kein DLC für das erste Spiel. Spencer sagte zudem, dass die DLC des ersten Teils “didn’t sell as well as we would have liked.” Gerüchte besagen, dass es sich um einen XBLA-Titel handelt, der den Namen Night Springs trägt.
Dennoch sagte Specner, dass man gerne mit Remedy zusammenarbeiten wird und dass das neue Projekt nichts daran ändern wird. “I’d love to work with Remedy again,” erklärte Spencer. “We have ongoing conversations with them. I think the stuff they’re doing now they wanted to incubate, Mattias [Myllyrinne, Remedy boss] and the team. They wanted to incubate internally. Like I said, I don’t think they’ve signed it with anybody.”
Ob und wann Alan Wake: Night Springs erscheint ist noch unklar.
